Friday 1st April - Saturday 2nd April

• Premiership – Burnley v Man City [BlueSq] 17:30

Recent home form has not been great for Burnley as hopes fade. Man City can be a bit hit and miss and times but they will be under pressure for a win for top 4.

Man City @ 1.72

• Premiership – Arsenal v Wolves [BlueSq] 15:00

Arsenal look to be missing a couple of big names this week and Wolves are pretty solid as proven against Everton last week. This will be a tough test for Arsenal.

Under 2.5 goals @ 2.5

• Formula 1 – Qualifying Malaysia top 3 [BlueSq] 09:00

After a difficult time in Melbourne Lewis has a point to prove to his critics. After 2 very strong showings in practice, and the fact that Ferrari admit to be struggling this weekend, the 2008 world champion looks good for a strong qualifying session..

Lewis Hamilton @ 2.25

• Super League – St Helens v Wigan [William Hill] 15:00

The weather looks to be pointing towards a wet ground, so we expect few points in this derby clash.

Under 38 pts @ 2.1

• Super League – Hull KR v
Hull FC [William Hill] 12:45

Both teams will be looking to bounce back from last weeks defeats, in this derby clash. A close match is predicted but with the good weather we expect a fair few points to be scored.

Over 40 pts @ 1.91

Results 22nd-28th March

Overall after our first week we have had 15 tips, with profit levels at -11%. So for example, £50 on each bet, a total stake of £750 would have resulted in a deficit of £94. A disapointing week.
Our big winner this week was backing Norwich to beat an out of form Leeds side. Keep following the blog for more tips, and a return to our profit making.

Sunday 28th

• Formula 1 GP – To finish top 3 [BWin] 07:00

Having qualified 2nd, Webber is certainly the home favourite. The Red Bulls are massively quick. While Vettel is expected to run away with it, Webber is in with a good shout of a podium finish.

Mark Webber @ 1.53

• Formula 1 GP – To finish top 6 [WilliamHill] 07:00

After a strong qualifying performance Button will be full of confidence, especially as Lewis is struggling this weekend.

Jensen Button @ 1.44

Saturday 27th Afternoon/Evening

• Football Premiership – Tottenham v Portsmouth [BWin] 15:00

Tottenham are unbeaten in 8 straight games, whilst Portsmouth have been letting goals in for fun recently, especially away from home. It should be an easy win for Spurs, and expect a fair few goals too.

Tottenham to score in both halves @ 2.00

• Football Premiership – Wolves v Everton [SkyBet] 15:00

Whilst both teams are on a bit of a role Everton are an under rated side with some sterling away performances including a 2-0 win at Man City. They will really fancy their chances at Wolves, especially with a spot in European football in their sights.

Everton @ 2.1

• Football League One – Norwich v Leeds United [Expert.com] 15:00

Norwich have had a great string of results recently, whereas the opposite can be said of Leeds. The away team are going into this clash as underdogs, and with the wounds of recent form we can expect a win for Norwich.

Norwich @ 2.05

• Super League – Salford v Hull [Ladbrokes] 17:00

Salford are currently the poorest team in Super League, their 36-6 loss to an average Wakefield side last week further emphasising this. Tonight they come up against an eperienced and clinical Hull FC side, led around the park by Sean Long. Again expect the Hull forward pack to dominate with Fitzgibbon & O'Meley and the points to be racked up.

Hull (-10) @ 1.9

• Super League – Catalans v Hull KR [Bet365] 19:30

There is continued talk of unrest in the Catalans camp & coach Kevin Walters must be close to going, could this be the match they turn it around?? The expected return of captain & talisman Thomas Bosc could prove crucial and they posses a forward pack to rival any in the competition. Hull KR however are coming off an away win against Leeds, looking to push on up the table. Their forward pack will be suited to the conditions and more able to give the quick play the ball the team thrive on. Expect a tight match, but Hull KR have always performed well in France & their greater squad unity should pull them through.

Hull KR (-2.5) @ 2.00

Saturday 27th

• Formula 1 qualifying – To qualify top 3 [BlueSq] 06:00

Alonso is arguably one of the best drivers on the grid and he is in one of the top cars out there. A hot tip to get pole, the odds are looking good for a top 3 in qualifying.

Fernando Alonso @ 1.83

Friday 26th

• IPL – Rajasthan v Deccan [Ladbrokes] 14:30

Two team which are difficult to split, both with Australian captains in Warne & Gilchrist. Although i think Warne is the better captain & would win any tactical battle, the toss is crucial & Deccan will bat first. With their batting line up & the return of Laxman, Deccan should triumph although I believe Rajasthan have the better bowlers, pressure will tell during their run chase.

Deccan @ 1.61

• Super 14 – Cheetahs v Queensland Reds [Ladbrokes] 17:10

Both teams have been hit by injuries early in the season, however the loss of Heinrich Brussouw is huge for the Cheetahs. Add this to the fact that the Reds have had their rest week & have had time to acclimatise to the conditions, negating any advantage the Cheetahs would have had.

Queensland (-1.5) @ 1.9

• Super League – Castleford v Crusaders [Ladbrokes] 20:00

Castleford are a team that is being patched up to play, now including 3 loan signings. Their opponents tonight are the improving Crusaders, led around the park by the excellent kicking game of Michael Witt. The lack of cohesivness in the Castleford side will in my view contribute heavily to the result.

Crusaders (+8) @ 1.9

Wednesday 24th

• Premier League – Portsmouth v Chelsea [Ladbrokes] 19:45

Chelsea are going through a period of poor form, however expect a reaction sooner rather than later. Portsmouth will be relegated this season thanks to their financial troubles, but dont understimate the spirit within the squad. I expect this to be a tight match, especially if Chelsea continue to underperform, however i think Chelsea can ground out a routine victory. The return of Petr Cech will provide a steadying influnece behind a shaky & injury hit defence.

Chelsea (to win to nil) @ 1.8

• Championship – West Brom v Coventry [Ladbrokes] 19:45

Conventry have only lost 1 of their last six matches but now come up against 2nd placed West Brom. Coventry have failed to score on 8 of their last 10 visits to the Hawthorns, and although they may score tonight im not sure they will be able to push on for the win.

West Brom @ 1.5

• Scottish League/Cup – Celtic + Rangers [Ladbrokes] 19:45

A Rangers & Celtic double is always useful in an accumulator with both teams normally favoured to win. Tonight however we have slightly inflated odds thanks to both teams playing away from home, Rangers in the cup & Celtic in the League. Celtic will be looking to close the gap on Rangers & Rangers will be looking to get closer to another cup final.

Double @ 2.44

Tuesday 23rd

• Championship – Doncaster v Newcastle [Bet365] 19:45

Doncaster have only lost twice in their last 11 matches, while we all know Newcastle sit top of the Championship. However stories are starting to circulate that could suggest unrest in the Newcastle squad. The training ground injury suffered by captain Steven Taylor in an alleged incident with Andy Carroll would be a worry. This added to a few players missing due to minor injuries make the away win seem poor value. We do know that a Newcastle team always carries a goal threat whoever is in the lineup.

Goals (both teams to score) @ 1.8

• Championship – Ipswich v Plymouth [Bet 365] 19:45

Ipswich are a team starting find some form with 3 wins out of 4 and two recent 1-0 home victories. Plymouth are a team heading down with only one win in eight. Niether team are great goalscorers however and this is where i think the value lies today. Ipswich's have scored 21 in 19 home matches, while Plymouth have only scored 19 in their 19 away games.

Under 2.5 goals @ 1.7

Results 15th-21st March

Overall after our first week we have had 12 tips, with profit levels at 18%. So for example, £50 on each bet, a total stake of £600 would have resulted in a profit of £108. A tidy start.
Our big winner this week was clearly backing James Milner to score against Wigan and he may be one to look out for in future weeks. Keep following the blog for more great tips, and increasing profits.
